All the training run by our Learning and Development Centre has been updated to meet the new Common Induction Standards.
The induction training has been updated to be in line with the Induction Award in Supporting People with a Learning Disability.
Managers continue to develop some of the training for the organisation.
We are looking forward to developing further and provide qualifications to people with a learning disability.
National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs)
The majority of our care staff are completing NVQs as well as participating in mandatory and other care related training. All managers and new staff starting work since April 2002 are required to undertake NVQ training in Health and Social Care.
We have maintained approval from City and Guilds to operate as a registered centre providing NVQs at levels 2, 3 and 4 in Health and Social Care, the Registered Managers Adult Award and the new Leadership and Management award.
We have also supported staff gaining NVQs through local colleges who needed extra support to complete their NVQ.

In December 2007 Prospect gained approval from City and Guilds to provide the Induction Award in Supporting People with a Learning Disability. This has replaced the LDAF award previously provided through BILD.
