What our service users think

On living in one of Prospect's schemes, Rita says:

"I have lived here for a long time; I was here before the others moved in. Someone always visits me every day. They take me for breakfast, shopping and to day centres. I also go on trips - I went to Godstone Farm and saw the animals. Staff take me to see my boyfriend in Horley. I wouldn't get out much without them"

On working in the Prospect office, Mark says:

"I've enjoyed transferring calls, seeing and talking to people and answering the door. Most of all I've enjoyed the company. People are very nice, friendly and polite and always respond to what I ask. I like it here and really hope to do some good work throughout the remainder of my work experience. This experience has helped me and I would like to get a job working in an office"

On working with Work 4 All, Martin Says:

"Work 4 All has given me a real sense of value in life and it has helped me to work within a team, meet some new friends and learn new skills. I am learning more about contract gardening and the need for speed and a reasonable standard. The regular work keeps me from getting bored as the work keeps my mind and body active. This is much better than staying at home doing nothing. I love the fact that I can also volunteer with this scheme, as I did with the Helping Hands scheme."

On working with Work 4 All, Matt says:

"The scheme has done a lot for me. It has taught me new skills. I have made lots of new friends and I have been able to earn some money."

On working with Work 4 All, Mandy says:

"Before I started with the scheme I found it difficult to get out of bed because I did not have a purpose. I was so low that it was hard to make myself do anything until I joined Work 4 All."

On Direct Payments Matthew says:

"I get Direct Payments and I found out about it from my Care Manager. I did the paperwork myself with help from my family. The paperwork was a bit difficult and it could be clearer. I get my money into a separate bank account which gives me my independence. I have a choice on what hours I would like from Prospect. I can ring up and speak to Prospect staff about changes or any concerns I have. The payments help towards transport costs as well as paying for support from Prospect. This has helped me so much and made me more confident".
